How to Raise Your
HQ by Lowering Your IQ
Raise your Happiness Quotient
by Lowering your Irritation Quotient

Who would guess that by being happy we could help the world! When Laurie first read this quote, she was thrilled. It resonated with her, and became the impetus to study happiness. There are essential reasons and techniques for increasing your “HQ/Happiness Quotient” —the ability to feel content and gratified with whatever life presents you. It’s not usually the big stressors in life that mar contentment; rather those minor annoyances and that add up to a high IQ/Irritation Quotient— propensity to anger easily, lose peace of mind, and even provoke violence.

In this experiential presentation you will learn about happiness as both an “Art and a Science,” thus, strengthening health, harmony, happiness and wellbeing, for yourself, and others.

Students will learn about trees around the world and the life trees support, deforestation, reforestation, and rainforest preservation.  With this there are both happy and sad stories ending with a hopeful, empowering story.

Earthwalk
Lessons and Stories from Living and
Traveling on Six Continents

Since childhood, when Laurie saw roads, she saw potential adventure. This for her was not just escapade, but also exploration. What does another path, country, language, way of life, theory of reality, and distinct paradigm of existence have to teach us?

Laurie has learned from living and working with diverse populations that there are both fascinating differences and significant similarities, and that what we focus on can separate us or unite us. No matter where we are in the world, in a shared humanity, we basically care about the same things. With doses of humor, irony and reflection, Laurie will share compelling stories to enhance understanding of our interconnectedness.
